*THEME: GOD IS THE JUDGE, NOT YOU*

_"For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mate, it shall be measured to you again. Matthew 7: 2._

A lot of the religious leaders in Jesus day were always judging others. They believed they were the ones that knew the right way to behave, but Jesus and His disciples didn't exactly have time to play by their human-made rules. They had more important concerns than doing what humans wanted, in order to keep the peace. And the Jewish leaders were quick to accuse them on that, but Jesus flipped their criticism over, pointing out that they were more worried about breaking traditions created by man than breaking God's commandments (Matthew 15: 1 - 9).

Those leaders were so busy trying to correct the actions that they saw, and didn't like, that they completely missed the world-changing heart of Jesus. They judged Him for breaking rules without asking why He did the things He did. But He knew their hearts, and He rebuked them on it. Jesus reminded them: Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. (John 8: 15 - 16). We can only see someone's actions, but God can see what's going on in their heart as well. Only God knows ALL the facts, so let?s go to Him first before we form an opinion on someone.
