RESTORATION TODAY
FRIDAY 5TH MAY 2017
BY PASTOR DR. G.O. OLUTOLA JP.

THEME: BELIEVERS ARE WINNERS

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair. 2 Corinthians 4: 8.

After Lazarus was raised from the dead, can you imagine how hard would it be to threaten him There's hardly anything you could do to intimidate someone that just walked out of a tomb. He has been given a new shot at life, and a relationship with the God who's stronger than death.

It was the same for the early Christians. Persecutors killed Stephen and the church scattered, taking the gospel further than it had ever gone. Paul got thrown into prison and he converted the guards. Silas and Paul get put in prison and they start singing praise. Yes, believers will hit opposition. They will be hard pressed on every side, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down. But then, they?re not crushed, not in despair, not abandoned, not destroyed.

When you've been given new life by Jesus, when you've been joined to Jesus in His death and brought back in His life, absolutely nothing can take that away. Living is Christ. And dying is Christ. Let's live our lives in this reality.
