RESTORATION TODAY
SUNDAY 30TH APRIL 2017
BY PASTOR DR. G.O. OLUTOLA JP.

THEME: THE RIGHTEOUS ARE BOLD AS A LION.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion?. Proverb 28: 1.

Although she was chosen by King Xerxes to become the queen, Esther was not worldly. She resolved to stand up for the salvation of her people, the Jews.

We have to admire her bravery as she approached the king, uninvited at the risk of losing her life. In a way, we all have our own King Xerxes? whom we have to deal with. It might be a boss. It might be a husband who doesn't know the Lord. Maybe it is a Christian friend who is compromising. Maybe it's someone who needs to hear the gospel.

Pray and ask God for His wisdom. Ask Him to give you the strength. Ask your friends to pray for you. That is what Esther did (Esther 4: 16). Esther was bold as a lion. She didn't cower or cringe. Likewise Elijah, who said, I swear by the Lord almighty, in whose presence I stand, that I will present myself to Ahab this very day (1 Kings 18: 15). God is not intimidated by any authority figure.
