THEME: ASSURANCE OF SALVATION [1].
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall?. 2 Peter 1: 10.
You can be sure of your salvation. Apostle Peter wrote of some things that could give us that assurance in 2 Peter chapter 1. In today's verse, he said if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. This kind of scriptural assurance of our salvation results in specific, practical blessings in the Christian life.
HERE ARE SOME OF THEM:
1. Assurance Makes You Praise God. There is no way you can be filled with praise and gratitude to God if you?re not sure you?re saved.
2. Assurance Adds Joy To Your Earthly Duties And Trials. No matter what happens to you, you can be certain that all will work out well in the end. Difficulties are easier to handle when you know they're temporary.
3. Assurance Makes You Zealous In Obedience And Service. If you're doubtful about your salvation, you will be discouraged. But, if you're sure, you will be hard-working and encouraged in serving the Lord.
ACTION POINTS
Assurance of salvation lets us enjoy earthly blessings.

1. Father, thank You for saving me by the blood of Jesus Christ.
2. Lord, help me to continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus in the name of Jesus
3. Lord, fill me with joy and Zeal to serve You better in the name of Jesus.
