RESTORATION TODAY

BY PASTOR DR. G.O. OLUTOLA JP.

THEME: BRINGING PEOPLE TO JESUS [2]

And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was bone of four?. Mark 2: 3.

Some people have to be carried to Jesus because they can't get to Him by themselves. Like the man in the story, they are paralysed by an out-of-control behaviour; paralysed by a belief system that tells them they are too sinful for God to ever love and redeem them; paralysed by the memory of something that happened in their childhood; paralysed by an addiction to illegal drugs, gambling, pornography, alcohol, work, or money.

You can be paralysed by fear, anxiety, depression, the memory of a childhood of neglect and abuse. On the other hand, you can be a self-made man or woman paralysed by success, materialism, and greed, not acknowledging any need in your life for God.

Jesus began His ministry with these words: ?the Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord? (Luke 4: 18 - 19). Here?s the good news! Life may not always have been good to you, but God?s grace and smile of favour can change all of that and that change begins today.

ACTION POINT:
Ask yourself, what are you paralysed with?

SCRIPTURE:
Mark 2: 1 - 12

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, deliver me from the paralysis of negative addiction in the name of Jesus.

2. I rebuke paralysis of my finances in the name of Jesus.

3. Lord Jesus, empower me today, so that I can possess my possession, in the name of Jesus.
